About the Bursary Program – Fields Covered:
- Bursaries are available for four students residing within the Ingquza Hill Local Municipality (Eastern Cape) for studies in the following fields:
- Civil and Building/Electrical Engineering
- Financial Accounting (CA)
- Maritime Studies
- Town and Regional Planning
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Age between 18 and 35 years old
- Reside within the Ingquza Hill Local Municipality
- Currently in Matric (in 2023) or have completed Matric
- Intending to study towards an undergraduate qualification in one of the specified fields in 2024
- Accepted or intending to study at a recognized and accredited South African university
- Meet the tertiary academic requirements of the chosen university
- Financial need with a household income not exceeding R350,000 per annum

- Submit clear copies of required documentation, including an application letter, Matric certificate, exam results, proof of university application/acceptance, university fee structure, proof of household income, and proof of residence.
- Applications must be delivered to the Municipal Manager at the specified address in Flagstaff, Eastern Cape.
