  • Bursaries are available for four students residing within the Ingquza Hill Local Municipality (Eastern Cape) for studies in the following fields:
    • Civil and Building/Electrical Engineering
    • Financial Accounting (CA)
    • Maritime Studies
    • Town and Regional Planning
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Age between 18 and 35 years old
  • Reside within the Ingquza Hill Local Municipality
  • Currently in Matric (in 2023) or have completed Matric
  • Intending to study towards an undergraduate qualification in one of the specified fields in 2024
  • Accepted or intending to study at a recognized and accredited South African university
  • Meet the tertiary academic requirements of the chosen university
  • Financial need with a household income not exceeding R350,000 per annum
Application Process:
  • Submit clear copies of required documentation, including an application letter, Matric certificate, exam results, proof of university application/acceptance, university fee structure, proof of household income, and proof of residence.
  • Applications must be delivered to the Municipal Manager at the specified address in Flagstaff, Eastern Cape.
