FASSET (Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority) offers bursary programme towards further studies in 2024 / 2025 for South African students.

FASSET (Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority) invites unemployed South African students to apply for their 2024 bursary programme. Bursaries are available for studies in various fields, including Actuarial Sciences, Accounting Sciences, Auditing, Economic Management Sciences, Information Technology (IT)-related qualifications, Taxation, and more.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Requirements:
    • Must be unemployed.
    • Must have completed Matric.
    • Must be studying or intend on studying towards a qualification within the specified fields in 2024.
    • Must be studying or registered to study at a Public University, University of Technology, or TVET College in South Africa.
    • Total household income must not exceed R660,000 per annum.
  2. Expenses Covered:
    • Tuition fees.
    • Textbooks.
    • Accommodation.
    • Learner allowances/ meal allowance.

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):

  • ID document (certified copy) (not older than 6 months)
  • Highest Qualification & Academic record (certified copy)
  • Proof of registration and acceptance at an approved tertiary institution (stamped/signed)
  • Parents or guardians ID documents (certified copies)
  • Parents or guardians proof of household income (latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, proof of pension or grant if applicable)
  • Proof of address
  • Completed FASSET 2024 Unemployment Declaration Letter (.docx)

  • Closing Date: 15 February 2024 (at 23:59 midnight).
